Photo Booth Software for Family Entertainment Centers
Trampoline parks, arcades, and indoor play: an attraction and a revenue line in the same footprint.
Last updated
Family entertainment centers, trampoline parks, arcades, bowling centers, indoor play venues, zoos, and aquariums run on repeat visits and per-guest spend. A photo experience fits that model better than almost any other venue type: it is an attraction and a revenue line at the same time, and guests pay for it at the point of capture.
Pictor is the software that runs it. Many FECs get it through a photo booth operator who handles the hardware and consumables on a recurring contract — tell us about your floor and we’ll connect you with an operator in your market. Venues that would rather own the setup outright can license Pictor directly.

Why it works on an FEC floor
Unlike a wedding, an FEC guest is already paying per attraction. A photo capture that guests pay for directly slots into that behaviour instead of fighting it. Pictor’s built-in paywall handles it: guests pay at the booth for prints, AI renders, or premium experiences, and Pictor’s fee is 10% on Basic and Pro, 5% on Premium, and 2% on Enterprise.
For a venue doing volume, the Premium drop from 10% to 5% is usually the deciding factor.
No staff member required
The guest flow does not need a staffed attendant. Guests capture, and photos arrive on their own phones with no app download. That matters when your floor team is already covering attractions.

AI is the draw for the teen and tween crowd
AI presets are included from the Basic plan. Pro ($99/mo) adds the custom prompt editor, digital props, and background removal — the tools that let you build looks tied to your venue’s theme rather than generic filters. Premium ($149/mo) adds AI video and custom AI video.
AI actions consume tokens: roughly 1–2 tokens per AI image, 1 for background removal, and 5–15 per five-second AI video render. The cost of each action is shown before it runs, so per-render economics stay visible instead of arriving as a surprise.

Birthday parties and group bookings
Branded overlays can carry the venue’s name and a party-specific design, and overlays can be swapped between sessions. For parties sold as a package, the photo deliverable becomes part of what the parent is already paying for.
More than one capture point
Licensing is per active device and feature tier, and tiers can be mixed on one account — a Premium unit at the main attraction, Basic elsewhere on the floor.
When the network wobbles
If the connection drops, captures queue locally on the device and automatically process and send once it returns. Emergency phone support is available on every plan, including during live operation.
How FECs get Pictor

Through an operator
Photo booth operators are Pictor’s core customers, and many serve FECs, zoos, and family attractions on recurring contracts. The operator owns the hardware, the printers, the consumables, and the maintenance; you get the attraction and whatever revenue share you negotiate with them. Ask the operators in your market whether they run Pictor, or get in touch for an introduction.
In-house
A fixed capture point on your floor is closer to owning an arcade cabinet than to booking an event vendor, so plenty of FECs license Pictor directly and run it on a tablet. Pictor runs as a native app on iOS and Android, and you can build and test free for as long as you need before committing.
Before you build an enclosure or order mounting hardware, talk to us so we can confirm the configuration fits your floor plan and staffing model.

Volume, tokens, and what it actually costs
Token bundles scale with usage: 100 for $20 ($0.20 each) down through 2,000 for $200 ($0.10 each, the popular tier) to 20,000 for $1,400 ($0.07 each). At roughly 1–2 tokens per AI image, a high-volume FEC should be modelling the larger bundles.
Tokens never expire, which suits venues with heavy summer and school-holiday peaks and quiet stretches between — buying into a cheaper tier ahead of a busy season carries no expiry risk.
Worth knowing up front
- No 360 booth or dedicated roamer mode. Pictor does not currently support either.
- No native Mac or Windows booth app. Native desktop apps are on our roadmap; Mac and PC today means the browser-based Virtual Booth, which requires Premium ($149/mo).
- No unlimited-device licensing. Each active capture point carries its own license and tier.

FAQ
Is there photo booth software built for family entertainment centers?
Pictor runs as a native iOS or Android app with a self-serve guest flow and a built-in paywall, which is the combination FECs need: guests operate it without staff and pay at the point of capture. It can be licensed directly, or supplied by a photo booth operator on a recurring contract.
How does an FEC earn revenue from a photo booth?
Guests pay directly at the booth through Pictor’s built-in paywall for prints, AI renders, or premium experiences. Pictor takes 10% on Basic and Pro, 5% on Premium, and 2% on Enterprise. The monthly subscription is separate from that fee.
What does each AI photo cost an FEC to run?
AI actions consume tokens: about 1–2 tokens per AI image, 1 token for background removal, and 5–15 tokens per five-second AI video render. Tokens cost from $0.20 each at 100 down to $0.07 each at 20,000, and the cost of each action is displayed before it runs.
Do unused tokens expire between busy seasons?
No. Tokens never expire, so a bundle purchased before a summer peak remains usable through the slower months.
Can I run photo capture at more than one spot in my venue?
Yes. Licensing is per active device and feature tier and tiers can be mixed on one account, so you can run a higher tier at your main attraction and a lower tier elsewhere. Pictor does not offer unlimited-device licensing.
Does the booth need a staff member to run it?
No. The guest flow is self-serve — guests capture their own photos and receive them on their phones without downloading an app. Emergency phone support is available on every plan, including during live operation.
Can a zoo or aquarium use Pictor?
Yes. Zoos, aquariums, and family attractions run the same self-serve, guest-paid model as an FEC. Contact support@pictor.pro to confirm the configuration for a fixed installation, or to be connected with a photo booth operator serving attractions in your area.
