Internet & Network
Pictor needs a stable internet connection for AI processing and to sync captures to the cloud. Most events rely on mobile hotspot or venue WiFi. Confirm bandwidth before events where guests will upload photos simultaneously.
Lighting & Peripherals
Pictor works with any lighting setup and peripherals (ring lights, external flashes, green screens, props). Software has no hardware lock-in — bring your own gear. For specific lighting + camera combos, see support.pictor.pro or email hello@pictor.pro.
FAQ
Can I run Pictor on a laptop without a DSLR?
Yes, with Virtual Booth (Premium+). Use your laptop webcam or connect an external USB camera. DSLR is optional — it’s an upsell for pro operators who want tethered shooting.
Does Pictor work on Android phones, or just tablets?
Pictor is optimized for tablets (larger screens = better operator UX). Phones are supported for guests to view and download photos. For booth operation, tablet is recommended.
Can I use my DSLR on a Basic plan?
No. DSLR support is Pro and Premium only. Basic is iPad/Android tablet only.
What if I don’t know if my camera model is supported?
Email hello@pictor.pro with your camera model, or check the DSLR guide at support.pictor.pro. Most modern Canon (EOS), Nikon (Z/D), and Sony (Alpha) cameras work.
Does Print Partner work with all printers?
Best tested with DNP, HiTi, and standard inkjet/laser. If you have an unusual printer, email hello@pictor.pro to confirm driver support before buying.
Can I use Print Partner on a Mac and Windows at the same time?
Yes. Install Print Partner on both, each connected to a different printer. Pictor can send jobs to either based on your settings.
Do I need macOS 15 for Print Partner?
Yes — Print Partner requires macOS 15 or later on Mac (Windows 10 or later on PC). Full requirements are in the Print Partner guide on support.pictor.pro.
Is there a native Mac/PC booth app coming?
Yes, native Mac and Windows booth apps are on our roadmap. Until then, use Virtual Booth in a web browser on Premium or higher.
Can guests print directly from their phones?
Guests download or share photos from the web interface. Printing is handled by the operator’s Print Partner setup, not guest-initiated. The booth operator controls print-job routing.
What internet speed do I need?
It depends on your event size and outputs. A stable broadband or LTE/5G connection handles photo capture and delivery for a typical event; AI video renders benefit from more upload bandwidth. Want a recommendation for your specific setup? Email hello@pictor.pro.
