Pictor’s AI effects run on a token system. Every action costs tokens shown in-app before you run it, so you know the cost upfront. Tokens never expire — buy once, use them whenever you need.

Each AI effect consumes a fixed number of tokens:

Worked Example: 200-Guest Event
Here’s what it costs to run AI effects on a typical 200-person event:
- Setup: 200 high-compute AI images (2 tokens each) = 400 tokens
- Add background removal: 200 guests (1 token each) = 200 tokens
- Total: 600 tokens consumed
- Cost at popular rate: 600 ÷ 2,000 tokens × $200 = ~$60
Larger bundles bring the per-token cost down to $0.07–$0.09, so a 600-token spend on a 10,000-token bundle would be just ~$50.

Do Pictor tokens expire?
No. Tokens never expire. Buy once, use them whenever you need — a year from now, five years from now, whenever. No time pressure.
What if I don’t use all my tokens?
They stay in your account. No rollover, no expiry, no loss. Use them at your own pace.
Can I see the token cost before I run an effect?
Yes. The app shows the token cost for every AI action before you confirm. You control what to run and when.
Do I need to buy tokens if I’m only using AI Presets?
No. AI Presets (included in Basic) don’t cost tokens — they’re built-in templates. Tokens are only used for Custom Prompt Editor, Background Removal, and AI Video effects.
What’s the most popular token bundle?
The 2,000-token bundle at $200 ($0.10/token) is the most popular. It handles 100–400 events depending on your AI effect mix.
Can I use the same tokens on different devices?
Yes. Your token balance is tied to your account, not a device. Log in on any iOS, Android, or Virtual Booth device and your tokens are there.
What if I run out of tokens mid-event?
You can buy more tokens instantly in-app. Booth doesn’t shut down — you just can’t run AI effects until you have tokens again.
Is there a discount for annual plans?
Yes. Pictor plan subscriptions (Basic/Pro/Premium) are ~17% cheaper on annual billing. Token bundles are one-time purchases and don’t have annual/monthly variants.
Can I mix low-compute and high-compute images in one event?
Yes. Run different compute levels on different guests. Low-compute (1 token) runs fastest; high-compute (2 tokens) looks best. Mix and match based on time and quality needs.
What happens if my plan expires?
Your AI features turn off, but your tokens stay. Renew your plan and they’re active again.
