Pictor MCP Server v1.0-beta

Latest

Released Claude · ChatGPT · Cursor · any MCP client Permalink

Pictor MCP server enters closed beta — the first photo booth software with an MCP server.

The Pictor MCP server connects your account to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol, so you can build events and run Pictor by asking in plain English. Available on all plans at launch. Closed beta from September 30, 2026; details and access at pictor.pro/mcp.

A new way to run Pictor: from the AI assistant you already use. Closed beta, all plans.

New Features

New

MCP Server (Closed Beta)

A remote MCP server for your Pictor account. Connect an AI assistant once, then ask it to build and check events for you. In the beta a complete event was built end to end from an assistant: 60 template variations, custom fonts and global text, ready to run in the dashboard.

Pictor Pro v2.0.0

Released iOS · Android · Web Permalink

Branching workflows, animated templates & speed ramping, a marketplace, asset library, and a rebuilt workflow builder, template editor and dashboard.

v2.0.0 is a ground-up rebuild, not an incremental update. Events can now branch guests down different paths from a survey answer or template choice — even from pre-registration. Templates gain animated elements and speed ramping, a new marketplace lets operators buy and sell presets, templates and prompts, and the workflow builder, template editor, dashboard, pre-registration and printing have all been rebuilt on a cleaner, faster interface. Uploads now pause, resume and recover safely when the network drops. Read the full announcement: Pictor v2: A Complete Rebuild, Now Live.

The biggest release in Pictor’s history: a from-the-ground-up rebuild — new web app, new mobile app, every core system redesigned.

New Features

New

Branching Workflows

Your event flow can now split based on a guest’s survey answer or template choice, sending them down a different path with a different template or output. You set the branches; guests never see the decision happen. Branching also works from pre-registration, so a guest’s path can be decided before they reach the booth — great for VIP tracks, themed stations, or personalised experiences.

New

Animated Template Elements

Elements in the template editor can now be animated, giving your outputs more energy and polish without outside design tools.

New

Speed Ramping

Video and capture elements inside a template can speed up or slow down at points you set, right on the template itself — a slick effect for boomerangs and video templates.

New

Marketplace

Buy and sell presets, templates, and custom prompts with other operators. A new way to save setup time or earn from your best designs.

New

Asset Library

A single home for all your media and templates, reusable across every event, so you’re not re-uploading the same assets over and over.

New

Guided Event Creation

A step-by-step setup flow, ideal if you’re new to Pictor or training a team member.

New

Launchpad

One screen with every link and QR code you need for a live event — handy for kiosk mode or handing off to on-site staff.

New

In-App Tours

9 built-in walkthroughs covering the dashboard, events, workflow builder, template editor, prompt builder, and more.

New

In-UI Translation Editor

If you run multilingual events, admins can now edit dynamic translations directly in the product — one change updates both web and app.

Improvements

Improved

Custom Prompts

Prompt building and rendering has been completely rebuilt for more reliable, higher-quality AI outputs.

Improved

Workflow Builder

Build your event stage-by-stage visually with a live preview. Supports per-stage and global styles, booth behaviour rules, auto-skip logic, and reusable stage and workflow templates — much faster to set up and adjust than before.

Improved

Pre-Registration

Rebuilt with clearly labelled stages on the workflow and full branching support.

Improved

Template Editor

A new canvas with filters, a filter creator, effects, a green screen picker, video trimmer, fonts, global text, tokens, audio, aspect ratio control, capture settings, burst, and GIF support all in one place.

Improved

DSLR

DSLR support has been reworked for more reliable handling.

Improved

Printing

Printing logic has been reworked for more reliable handling.

Improved

Mobibooth Lighting Integration

Reliability fixes for the Mobibooth lighting integration (booth frame and backdrop lighting controllers).

Improved

Dashboard

Now shows live events, stats, a calendar, recent captures, and top media at a glance.

Improved

Everything Else

Sharing station, slideshow, galleries, email templates, analytics (with CSV/ZIP export), clients, projects, partners, users, permissions, billing, whitelabel, and HTML templates have all been redesigned and rebuilt on the new stack, with UI/UX improvements throughout.

Bug Fixes

Fixed

Upload Queue Reliability

Uploads can now be paused, resumed, and safely discarded. Fixes the v1 issue where losing connectivity (e.g. airplane mode) mid-event could cause lost sessions — your captures are now much safer if the network drops.

Fixed

Crash Reporting & Analytics

Improved crash reporting on web and app, plus product analytics and session replay on web, so issues get caught and fixed faster.

Pictor Pro v1.3.14

Released iOS · Android · Web Permalink

Custom folder & template display, template display names, smarter default sharing, and finer brand controls.

v1.3.14 gives operators finer control over the guest experience without adding complexity. Choose how folders and templates display and give templates custom display names, set a default sharing method when both email and SMS are enabled, tailor email domain suggestions and phone country codes to your guest base, and fine-tune logo spacing in global styles.

More control, less friction — finer control over library organisation, guest sharing, and branding.

New Features

New

Folder & Template Display Modes

Choose how your folders and templates display in your event library, so it looks and feels the way you want it to. Pick the layout that matches your workflow and find the right template faster mid-event.

New

Custom Template Display Names

Give your templates friendlier, more recognisable names for your team — no more guessing which template is which from a generic file name. Label them the way that makes sense for your workflow.

Improvements

Improved

Smarter Default Sharing Method

When both email and SMS delivery are enabled for an event, you can now set which one is the default. Speeds up guest checkout and reduces mis-taps at busy events.

Improved

Customisable Email Domain Suggestions

Tailor the autocomplete suggestions guests see when typing their email, making entry faster and more accurate for your specific audience.

Improved

Customisable Country Codes

Choose which country codes show up (and which one is the default) for phone number entry — handy for destination events, international crowds, or venues with a predictable guest base.

Improved

Logo Spacing Control

Fine-tune the padding and spacing around your logo in global styles, giving you more precise control over your branded booth look.

Pictor Print Partner v1.0.4

Released Mac · Windows Permalink

Printer settings presets per aspect ratio — every print job automatically uses the right settings for its format.

v1.0.4 introduces printer presets by aspect ratio. Save separate printer settings for each print size you run — 4x6, 6x8, square — and every incoming print job automatically applies the matching preset, falling back to your default when no match exists. A meaningful quality-of-life upgrade for operators running multi-format print setups. Download the latest version for Mac or Windows, or see the printing setup guide.

Pictor Print Partner is the desktop companion app that drives on-site printing for Pictor Pro booths.

New Features

New

Printer Presets by Aspect Ratio

Save separate printer settings for each aspect ratio you use — 4x6, 6x8, square, and more. When a print job comes in, the app automatically selects the matching preset for that format: no more digging into printer settings to switch between layouts mid-event, and no more reprints because the settings were wrong. If no matching preset exists, it falls back to your default, so you’re always covered. Set it once and run multiple print sizes all night.

Pictor Pro v1.3.13

Released iOS · Android · Web Permalink

New DSLR camera controls — set preview rotation and a location hint right in your settings.

v1.3.13 brings DSLR camera configuration directly into your settings. Set the preview rotation so your live view displays correctly no matter how the camera is mounted, and add a location hint so the app finds your DSLR faster and connects more reliably on-site.

A focused update for physical booth operators running DSLR cameras.

New Features

New

DSLR Preview Rotation Control

Set the preview orientation for your DSLR camera directly in settings — no more repositioning the camera to get the image right-side up. If your camera is mounted at an angle or upside down, just dial it in from the app. Saves setup time and reduces on-site headaches.

New

DSLR Location Hint

A new location hint setting tells the app exactly where to look for your DSLR camera module, making detection faster and connections more reliable — especially on devices that don’t auto-connect on the first try. Both settings live in the camera section of your workflow configuration: set once, forget about it.

Pictor Pro v1.3.12

Released iOS · Android · Web Permalink

A focused reliability fix so your event always saves after exiting test mode.

v1.3.12 is a focused quality release with no new features — just making sure everything works when it matters most: at setup time, before your event goes live. Events now save correctly every time after you toggle in and out of test mode.

A focused quality release — no new features, just a more reliable setup experience.

Bug Fixes

Fixed

Event Not Saving After Exiting Test Mode

If you ran your booth in test mode and then exited, you could hit an error when trying to save your event settings. This is now fully resolved — your event data saves correctly every time, no matter how many times you toggle in and out of test mode.

Pictor Pro v1.3.11

Released iOS · Android · Web Permalink

On-screen photo delivery, richer prompt survey question types, and virtual booth fixes.

v1.3.11 introduces the new On Screen Delivery workflow stage so guests receive and interact with their photos right at the booth — no phone or email required. Prompt surveys also gain full question-type support, giving you more flexibility to personalise every AI photo experience.

New Features

New

Fixed

A bug that caused stage background videos to play full-screen during virtual booth sessions has been resolved. Your booth backgrounds now display exactly as intended.

Released iOS · Android · Web Permalink

Global variables, live template overlays on virtual booths, and one-click prompt duplication.
