MCP Server · Private beta

Run Pictor from Claude, ChatGPT or any AI assistant

Another first for the photo booth industry. Pictor brought AI photos to photo booths in 2023 and AI video in 2025. Now Pictor is the first photo booth software with an MCP server: build your events, check what needs attention and get answers from your account by asking, in plain English, inside the AI tool you already use.

What it is like in practice

Instead of clicking through the dashboard, you ask. The assistant connects to your Pictor account, securely and only when you ask, and works with the events, workflows and templates you already have.

1

You ask

“Set up Saturday’s wedding using my Vintage Strips workflow and tell me what is still missing.”

2

It connects

The assistant talks to Pictor over MCP, scoped to your account and the permissions you granted.

3

It does the work

The event exists in your dashboard, exactly as if you had built it by hand, with a plain-English summary of what it did.

From the beta

During the closed beta we built a complete event from an AI assistant in one conversation: 60 template variations, custom fonts and global text, ready to run in the dashboard.

Beyond the booth

From booking to event build, in one conversation

MCP is an open standard, so your assistant can hold Pictor and your other tools in the same chat. When the tool you book with, plan in or follow up from also speaks MCP, the whole job connects.

Booking to event build

Your booking tool confirms a wedding. Ask the assistant to read the booking and build the Pictor event from it: names, date, package, the template you always use for that package. Booking software that has its own MCP server, such as Check Cherry, can sit in the same conversation as Pictor.

Inbox brief to branded booth

A client emails a logo, brand colours and a Pinterest board. Ask the assistant to turn that thread into an event brief, then build the templates and workflow in Pictor to match.

Weekend prep in one question

"What is on this weekend, and which events still have no logo, no sharing method or no printer set?" One answer across every event, with the fixes made for you.

Calendar to kiosk

Connect your calendar and Pictor. Ask for every booking in the next 30 days to have a matching Pictor event, named and dated correctly, ready for the Launchpad.

Repeat clients, repeat builds

"Build the same experience we ran for this client last December, with this year's date and logo." The assistant finds the old event and clones the setup.

Post-event follow-up

After the event, ask for the numbers that matter: sessions, shares, gallery views. Then have the assistant draft the client recap or the next-year pitch from them.

Other tools are connected by you, in your assistant, using each tool’s own MCP server. Pictor does not have built-in connectors to them.

“You asked for it, we built it.”

Built by boothers, for boothers

Pictor is built by boothers, for boothers. We run a photo booth company ourselves, so we build for the whole job: the booking, the prep, the admin and the follow-up, not only the two hours the booth is live. Every feature starts as something an operator asked for because they needed it to run a stronger business. The MCP server is the same idea taken further: the tools you already use, working together, so you spend less time in dashboards and more time booking and delivering events.

MCP server FAQ

What is an MCP server?

+

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an AI assistant connect to outside software. The Pictor MCP server is the connection point that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client read your Pictor account and act in it when you ask.

Is Pictor really the first photo booth software with an MCP server?

+

As of September 30, 2026, yes. We checked every photo booth software vendor we could find. Some booth hardware shops expose a Shopify storefront endpoint for shopping their catalogue, which is not booth software, and Check Cherry offers one for its booking CRM. No photo booth capture software had one.

Which AI assistants work with it?

+

Anything that speaks MCP: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients. One URL works for all of them.

Can it make changes, or only answer questions?

+

Both. In the beta we have built a complete event end to end from an AI assistant: 60 template variations, custom fonts and global text, all landing in the dashboard ready to run. It only acts when you ask. A full list of what it can and cannot do will be published when the beta opens up.

Does it cost extra?

+

No. At launch the MCP server is available on every plan, including Basic. AI actions triggered through it use tokens exactly as they do in the app.

How do I get access?

+

The MCP server is in closed beta. Use the request form on this page and we will email your connection details when your spot opens. You can also email hello@pictor.pro.

“First” claim checked September 30, 2026 against every photo booth software vendor we could find. Some booth hardware shops expose a Shopify storefront endpoint for shopping their catalogue; that is a shop, not booth software. Check Cherry offers an MCP server for its booking CRM. We found no photo booth capture software with one. If we missed one, tell us at hello@pictor.pro and we will correct this page.
